Winter Tree Steward Sessions
Pruning and seasonal care for trees, shrubs, and other woody perennials.
Thoughtful winter pruning for healthy, resilient trees and shrubs.
Winter is the ideal time to care for your landscape. Pruning during dormancy supports strong spring growth, healthier structure, and long-term vitality.
I’m offering a limited number of Winter Tree Steward Sessions: dedicated pruning days for ornamentals, shrubs, and woody perennials, rooted in permaculture principles and plant health.
Whether your trees simply need their annual seasonal tending, or they’ve gone years without pruning and need remediation, I’d be honored to support your landscape with care and intention.
If it hasn’t been pruned in a year, it’s ready.
Pruning is essential to the health of most trees in cultivation.
But beyond just increasing health, vitality, and resiliency, pruning can increase the aesthetic quality of a plant profoundly.

Deposit & how billing works
All pruning projects begin with a Half-Day Winter Tree Steward Session, which serves as a deposit and holds your date. The Half-Day (about 4 hours) is paid at booking. If your trees need more time, we can extend into a longer day as needed, and any additional time or hauling is billed after the work is completed. You only pay for the time we actually use.
Who It’s For
• Homeowners who want to take good care of their trees but aren’t confident doing it alone
• Folks who have worked with me on a design or installation project and want ongoing seasonal support
• People who want practical, health-focused pruning (not drastic cutting or shaping for looks alone)
• Remediation of neglected or poorly pruned plants including those that have a history of being managed by shearing into cubes and spheres.
• Anyone who wants their landscape to be resilient, productive, and thoughtfully stewarded
Note: no climbing or large canopy removals; ideal for small-to-medium trees and shrubs.

Why Winter?
During dormancy, trees can rest and redirect energy into healthy new growth. With leaves off, it’s easier to see structure clearly, which means more precise and thoughtful cuts — and fewer opportunities for disease or pests.
Winter pruning is slow, grounding work that sets your landscape up for strength, beauty, and resilience in the spring.
Ready to steward your trees well this season?
Thank you for caring for your land with intention. I’m grateful for the opportunity to support you and your trees.
Warmly,
